Aberdeen FC have signed five players to strengthen their defensive and attacking lines ahead of the upcoming season.

The club has been in need of reinforcements for several years now, with some of its most promising talents set to leave the Scottish Premiership side this summer.

The move comes as a positive sign for the team's current squad, which is currently struggling to secure top-flight status.

Five new signings include midfielder Jordan McFadden, who was loaned out from League Two side St Johnstone during the transfer window, and defender Jamie Meldrum.

Both players will bring much-needed experience and quality to the team, and could help Aberdeen improve on their recent form.

Meldrum has previously played for Manchester United and Chelsea, while McFadden is likely to make his debut for the club at the start of the campaign.

The signing of these five players should provide the club with the strength it needs to compete for promotion next season, and could also help to solidify the defensive and attacking lines that the club has struggled to achieve so far.
