The former Scottish Premiership midfielder has joined Hibernian on a season-long loan deal.

Joan O'Gara, who played for Celtic and Manchester United, has signed a two-year contract with the club after being released by Rangers last week.

O'Gara is expected to play a key role in Hibernian's midfield this season, and he will bring experience and leadership to the team.

He has been involved in several high-profile transfers in recent years, including joining Celtic from Celtic Park in 2019.

However, it was not until the following summer that O'Gara made his senior debut at Rangers, where he spent four seasons before moving to Scotland.

After leaving Celtic, O'Gara had spells at clubs such as Aberdeen, Motherwell and Celtic, but he never really found his feet at any of them.

In 2020, he moved back to Scotland to sign for St Johnstone, where he quickly established himself as one of the club's most promising young players.

In his first season there, he helped the side win promotion to the Championship, and he has since gone on to make a significant impact at both youth and senior levels.

Now, with Hibernian looking for a reliable and experienced player in their midfield, O'Gara is set to be an important addition to the squad.

He brings with him a wealth of experience and leadership qualities, which could help the club achieve its goals this season.
