Arsenal narrowly beat Brighton 1-0 to secure their second place in the Premier League standings. The Gunners had been struggling for form since the break and were looking set to lose another game, but they managed to pull off a crucial victory against the defending champions.

The match was intense from start to finish as Arsenal looked to take advantage of the gap between them and Brighton. They made it look easy with a well-taken goal by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 27th minute. However, Brighton fought back quickly and levelled the score just before half-time through a header from Joe Gomez.

In the second half, Arsenal continued to dominate and build up a lead. They eventually took the lead when Aubameyang headed home a corner kick from a corner. The goal proved decisive as Arsenal held onto the lead until the final whistle.

Despite the defeat, Arsenal's manager, Arsene Wenger, was pleased with his team's performance. "We worked hard to come out on top and we deserved this result," he said. "It's great to have got three points in our last two games."

The win means that Arsenal is now four points clear at the top of the table and will be hoping to continue their good form into the remaining matches of the season. With Brighton still looking to improve, Arsenal can focus on their next game and hopefully find themselves back in the top flight of English football.
